Best stock photo website

I few blog posts ago I talked about Adobe stock. But in that post I only talked about how adobe stock is good. So let me tell you a bit about a few other stock photo website where you can sell your photos. I applied for a few stock website but only really used 3 of them

I still think this is one of the best stock photo website. It is the one that currently sell most of my pictures.

  1. Adobe stock

In my opinion this is one off the site where it is easiest to upload your photos and edit the keywords.

They are newer in the stock photo game. But since Adobe is trusted by many people. This was a big selling point for me. I already had an adobe account and trusted them with my adres and bank details.

2. Getty images

One of the oldest stock site on the internet since 1995. It is a big website which has a lot of traffic so as you can expect then is that more people might see your photos.

3. Shutterstock

This is also a very big agency that gets a lot of traffic to there website. So many people might see your photos. but the downside is that you will have a lot of competition.

Do I really need Adobe?

Short answer? No.

But there is a reason so many people have Adobe and love using it so much.

With Adobe creative cloud you have exces to some of the most used programs in the business like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After effects, Premier Pro and many more.

What does each of these programs do?

  • Photoshop does what the name suggest. It helps you edit your photo’s. Adobe Lightroom can also help with light settings for the photo’s. These two programs work great together.
  • InDesign is for making posters, books, flyers, and almost any publications that are printed.
  • Illustrator is perfect for making Illustrations, infographic and logo’s of all sorts. But also to change colors of logo’s is needed. Here is a tutorial on how to do that.
  • After effects work to animate that illustration you just made in Illustrator.
  • Premier Pro is great for video editing. I edit my tutorials always in Premier.

Tutorials

I will be honest the Adobe programs are not always easy to master. But if you do know the basics of one program then you kind of know all of them. They are not extremely hard but watching a few tutorials can’t hurt anyone.

On tutsplus.com there are so many free tutorials you can follow to master all these programs that does not cost you anything.

On the Adobe website are also many tutorials for each of there programs.

think about christmas now

You might have had that moment just before the holidays and then you start thinking what you should get people. It is a good idea to start thinking about that now. Because if you do this you can start noticing what people want or need. Things they say they like or find annoying. Then you can give them something the truly want.

Then you even have the time to wrap it in a fun way.

Let me also give you a few fun suggestions to give to people. Just to get you started.

How Pinterest helps me organize

This is just a an advertising for Pinterest that I am not paid for.

What is Pinterest

Wikipedia says: Pinterest is an American image sharing and social media service designed to enable saving and discovery of information (specifically “ideas”[5]) on the World Wide Web using images and, on a smaller scale, animated GIFs and videos,[6] in the form of pinboards.[7] The site was created by Ben SilbermannPaul Sciarra, and Evan Sharp and had over 400 million monthly active users as of August 2020.[8] It is operated by Pinterest, Inc., based in San Francisco.

How I use Pinterest

I type the thing I look for and save them on boards to find them later. If you look at my Pinterest acount you will see that I have a lot of boards. I like to keep everything in separate so it is easy for me to find it later. When I want to organize anything I open Pinterest and look at the boards about organization. There I can almost always find something that I can use.

Why I love using Pinterest

I love organizing thing and loved it when it is organized. Everything is clear and easy to find.

On Pinterest I have a few board that help me find new ways to organize my home. I think Pinterest is ideal because I can save these ideas.

Then when I need to organize anything I open one of the board below to help me with my problem. May blogger like me post new ways that they organize there home.

If you see other people getting there home nice and organized I t really gets me motivated to do the same. And with other people I mean real people not nice profesionally styled houses in magazines and tv but houses that you and me live in. Where people do it as a hobby or in the evening when they are off work. Where it needs to be practical and simple to apply.

Here you can find simple ways to organize things without a lot of effort.

But you can also make things yourself to organize your home and improve your life this way.

Other uses for Pinterest

In my last blogpost I showed how I organized my desk drawer which I also got inspired for by Pinterest.

I also uses it to promote this blog. The change is quite big that you found my blog via Pinterest. Pinterest is ideal to promote blog about home improvement. Because many women want to imporve there home simple and effective and start that journey by looking on Pinterest at what other women do.

Many women like me are on Pinterest promoting there blog with nice images that they put together with adobe photoshop and graphic that they made on Illustrator. Just like me. They write a nice title on it and post it on Pinterest.

I do prefer a pencil

This week I found out that I do prefer a pencil over the ink. Not to erase but to make the lines softer. If I had used different ink and different way to apply that ink I would have been able to make the lines softer. But I did not do that.

The thing I liked about using a pen for inktober was that I always had one around. And it is really easy to use. But with a pencil, I smudge out some of the lines with my finger. This makes the lines softer. Sometimes that gives a different feel to a drawing or doodle.

My doodles for this week:

I do not like drawing I like doodling

Last week I really fell back in love with drawing. Or so I thought. I realised that I like to make a quick drawing. Or at least most of the time. I still like making a portrait once in a while. But that always take 8+ hours. Sometimes you just need a quick fix. So a doodle will do just fine. Than expectations are not so high. Than it is fine if you mess up.

Doodles for the weeks inktober
